Sharing with you CEDARE’s and MedWaves’ visit down the Nile all the way to Minya

Last week, representatives from Cedare – Centre for Environment & Development for the Arab Region & Europe and MedWaves met with Athar’s team and their incubated entrepreneurs. The green finalists from Minya, Sohag, Qena & Luxor represented multiple sectors: sustainable furniture, bio-technology, organic food and agriculture, and sustainable waste management and resource efficiency. The entrepreneurs presented the status of their startups, discussed current challenges and demonstrated the next steps as the end of the six-month incubation phase is approaching, after which they become ready to pitch their green businesses to investors through #NISE. The promising incubated entrepreneurs showcased rapid progression in building their technical and business capacities.

NISE activities come as part of Egypt’s SwitchMed Down the Nile Project to support #Sustainable#Economy & Green & Blue #Entrepreneurship. The Project is implemented in #Egypt by Cedare – Centre for Environment & Development for the Arab Region & Europe, MedWaves, وزارة البيئة المصرية – Ministry of Environment and is part of SwitchMed; the EU-funded programme.
