The National Initiative for Sustainable Entrepreneurs (NISE)

Launched in October 2022 by the Egyptian Ministry of Environment, in partnership with the Centre for Environment and Development for the Arab Region & Europe (CEDARE) and MedWaves (the UNEP/MAP Regional Activity Centre for SCP), the National Initiative for Sustainable Entrepreneurs (NISE) paves the way for a greener and more sustainable Egypt. NISE comes within the framework of the SwitchMed Down the Nile Project to Support Sustainable Economy, and is aligned with Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the extensive national efforts aimed at reinforcing the sustainability of medium, small, and micro enterprises.
NISE stands at the forefront of nurturing sustainable entrepreneurship in Egypt. The Initiative’s core objectives encompass the following:
